The food was amazing - I liked it. Got a nice size room with separate bedroom and a queen bed, for instance - always come in handy;))

The location was amazing, short walk to Haast and Jackson's Bay as well as Westport in the north. The room was cozy and quiet with lovely views.

It was quaint hotel overall, everything was really good, I would give it other than 3 stars. The staff were nice and helpful and the location was absolutely perfect nowhere near shops or restaurants.

Thanks guys for a fairly nice stay on our road trip. It has magnificent and beautiful location and convenient parking, and it's not far from Jackson's Bay, South Westland in a rural area near Haast as well as eateries, hotels, fuel and directions out of town.

Stayed at a great motel out of town with good staff. The spacious apartment had a big room with a kitchen and bathroom. The friendly staff made our stay even better. We enjoyed some nice walks nearby, despite the presence of sand flies. Bay Road Motels provided a comfortable and convenient experience for our small family.

Possibly the best and pleasant stay on our road trip. Huge & beautifully maintained room with all amenities required. Quiet and ideal location, 15 minutes' walk to Hapuka Estuary Walk Walking Trail.

our recent stay in haast was amazing, but bay road motels took it to the next level. the spacious and well-appointed cottage had everything we needed, including a fully-equipped kitchen and our own washer and dryer. the owner's dining recommendations were spot on, and the peaceful location close to nature was exactly what we needed. highly recommended!

This place was a great base for exploring the area and we really enjoyed our time here - it definitely lived up to its 3-star rating.
